Principal's Message

A message from the principal, Guy Hopkins

I am excited to begin another school year at Eastern High School. I appreciate the warm reception last year, and am confident that we will have another great school year 2023-2024. The pride with which the community, students and parents, as well as the staff at the high school approach education is outstanding. Eastern High School continues to excel on the state tests, and continues to meet the needs of the students in the high school. Whether it be through the high school, Southern Hills CTC, or the College Credit Plus opportunities, the needs of our students are being met.

Our staff provide a quality, challenging, and rewarding curriculum. The staff provides a curriculum that has “rigor” in it’s daily work. Students are challenged to reach their true potential, and the staff assists in this process. High school means being able to reach a high level of academics, being able to be at school daily, being able to work with other people, as well as setting goals for oneself and achieving those goals.

Our high school staff are a group of dedicated, caring, enthusiastic people willing to take the time and are willing to put forth the energy to make sure our students succeed. There is a positive relationship, that is quite evident, between our students and staff that creates a positive educational environment.

We look forward to this new year with optimism and high expectations.
