Principal's Message
Welcome incoming and returning “Warriors” to Eastern High School for the 2021-2022 school year. I am honored to once again be serving as the Eastern High School Principal for the upcoming school year. I am beyond passionate about serving the Eastern community and school district!
All things considered 2020-2021 was a fantastic school year, but I can not wait to make this school year the best yet! I am beyond proud of the resilience that our students and staff have shown since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am looking forward to continuing our journey toward normalcy. The ELSD will continue to make the health of our students a priority and will be sure to communicate any changes or mandates that may come about during the 21-22 school year. The ELSD will continue to be proactive with sanitation efforts and keeping our students safe and in the classroom.
Open house at EMS and EHS will be on August 17th from 5:30-7pm. We hope this will allow students to familiarize themselves with the building, meet the teachers, get schedules, and locker information.
Our first day for students will be on August 19, 2021. Our school day begins at 7:30am and dismisses at 2pm.
It is our goal at EHS to provide a safe and structured learning environment in which students can apply their 21st century skills to communicate effectively, think critically, and solve problems. With high standards and high expectations, students will become responsible learners who can not only work collaboratively, but also be accountable for their own academic goals and improve their character.
Extracurricular activities are already going at full force. Our fall sports teams and marching band have been putting in the hours and effort to prepare for competition. If someone has missed the One -Calls about practices or activities please email me with questions and I will point you in the right direction (email listed below). One present goal I have for Eastern High School students is for each student to participate in at least one extracurricular activity. We hope to make this time at Eastern High School a successful experience and to prepare ALL students to become lifelong learners who will make valuable contributions to society. I would ask that students show respect to themselves, other students, and staff in the building. Disrespect and harassment/bullying of others will not be tolerated.
Please feel free to contact Eastern High School with any questions or needs at 937-695-6277. The fax number for EHS is 937-695-0303.
Thank you and let’s remember that “It’s a great day to be a Warrior” and “The Tradition Continues...”
