Superintendent Message

Welcome Message from Mr. Michael

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

I couldn’t be more excited to welcome back students and staff for the 2024-2025 school year!

This summer has been a very productive one! Our custodians and the maintenance staff have been working hard on some exciting updates, and to prepare the buildings for returning students and staff! EMS/EHS summer school and Elementary summer school/jump start went great! Junior High/High School extracurricular activities have already been hard at work preparing for upcoming contests/competitions.

The Russellville Elementary building project is nearing the finish line! The addition is looking very nice! We can’t wait to have a functioning new main office. We have had a great experience working with our architect and construction company and we very much appreciate their hard work and attention to detail. We had hoped our addition would be completed by the start of school, however there have been some delays in obtaining finishing materials. Once the project is complete, we are excited to set up a time for students and parents to view it. Mr. Wagner will share more specific back to school pick up/drop off procedures as the school year approaches.  Procedures will be very similar to how we finished the school year.

The ELSD is very excited to welcome some new faces across the district this year. We will be sharing more about our new hires in the “Weekly Warrior” as the school year approaches. We are excited about the talented individuals who have signed on to make a difference at Eastern.

Parents and community members are invited to follow us on Facebook (Eastern Local Schools Brown County) and Twitter (@jordanrmichael) to receive updated information from the district.

Parents and guardians should have received an email from FINAL FORMS prompting you to begin filling out beginning of the year forms online.

Please make sure an up to date physical address and a valid email is provided for email updates. Filling forms out and making sure they are up to date is vital for transportation logistics and bus pick up/drop off on day 1.

Final forms log in information and additional helpful information for parents/guardians can be found under the “Parent Area” tab on the district website:
